    The Getty Museum

After a recent visit to the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, I found that there are some very interesting lesson plans on their website. Search for K-12 lesson plans by grade level, and by subject, including the visual arts, history, math, science, and language arts.
  • The Getty Museum-Education

  • Here are just two lesson plans that caught my attention:

    My Getty Vacation Travel Log
If your are unable to take your class on a fieldtrip to the Getty, take your K-5 students on an imaginary trip instead. There are six nice activities ready to be used.
  • My Getty Vacation Travel Log

  • Going to the Promised Land
Use a Primary Sources lesson plan for grades 6-12 called "Going to the Promised Land" to help students understand the Dust Bowl Migration. The Getty resources are organized for you in the lesson plan.
